Many of You
Tube users usually don’t have a clue of how it operates. I decided to conduct a
survey on social media and asked quite a number of internet users why people
post videos on You Tube. Well I got all kinds of answers but many of them said
its usually for fun and other people advertising their jobs and careers.
Actually they are all correct answers but it these are not the main reasons for
the existence of You Tube and the availability of thousands of daily video
uploads.
There was
another category of people who told me that many of the You Tube videos are
usually monetized. For Sure this was the answer I was looking forward to hear during
my survey. Not many people know the main
reason or purpose why people upload videos on You Tube.
In this
article I will show you how you can earn money on You Tube platform.
1) Set up and build a You Tube channel.
Before doing
anything related to Google, you should have running Google account that will
enable you to sign up for any other service related to Google. I am assuming you
have a Google account and for you to set up a You Tube channel you sign up for
a You Tube Monetization account.
Every video
on You tube is always attached to a certain channel where it was uploaded. This
helps to track the number of views your videos create and also to determine the
number of videos you have on You tube.
2) Start uploading your videos
After your YouTube
Monetisation account is ready, you should start uploading ORIGINAL
videos of your choice.
Well when I say original I mean that all the content you upload on you tube
should be your and not stolen from any other source.
You should
upload quality videos that give users a reason to watch them. Make sure your
videos are of good quality and they have the potential of driving a lot of
views. Actually you need quite a lot of views In order to make money.
3) Monetize your videos.
Now this is
where you start earning money from your you Tube content. Have you ever heard
of Google Adsense?? Well this is an advertisement platform from Google which
enables advertisers to advertise their products with Google and also publishers
to earn revenue from setting up these ads in their ad spaces on their websites,
blogs or You tube videos.

If you have
a fully approved Google Adsense account, all you have to do is link it with your
You tube monetization account in order to set up ads on your videos.
I will not elaborate
further on how to link the two in this article as I wish to publish it in
another article and I will give you the information you need to know in detail.
Once your YouTube
monetization account are linked and ads are showing on your you tube content,
you are already on the Google Adsense payroll.
For you to make money, an ad has to be clicked and also there are a few cents
for the impressions you expose your ads to. So for you to earn more, your
videos have a lot of views and also try to upload more and more content.
