Blogging has
become the popularly known means of making money online in the current
generation. Thousands of people around the globe are working on how to set up
their own blogs and have a second income from the internet.
Well nothing
comes easy and before you start anything you should have a plan on what you
want to do and what you wish to achieve there after. Many mistakes have been
noted on different running blogs and this inspired me to write on this article
on MISTAKES DONE BY BLOGGERS
Common
mistakes Bloggers should avoid.
There are
many common mistakes bloggers make especially newbies as they set up blogs. As
a blogger you should know that if your blog does not meet the quality standards
of readers definitely do not expect it to get the rich traffic you desire and
also if it doesn’t meet the quality standards of advertising networks, then do
not think of making income from it. Here are some of the mistakes done on
blogs.
1)
POOR QUALITY OF ARTICLES
Before
starting a blog, you should decide on the kind of niche you will be good at and
do a lot of research before you open up the blog and post grammatical errors
online. Many newbies do not consider to research on the specific niche to deal
with in and most of them end up mixing up content and the blog appears unprofessional
and disorganized.
Well this
drives away readers from your blog as the information contained in it cannot be
relied upon.
2)
ANNOYING BLOG DESIGN
Many blogs
have poor designs and are unfriendly to the readers. Some bloggers put a lot of
widgets with many ads on the pages of the blog and this slows the blog as it
takes a lot of time for it to load and also presence of many ads redirects the
readers to other websites meaning that they are not in a position to get the
content they want from your blog posts.
More to
this, some blogs have annoying popups and pop unders that appear when you log
in. As a blogger and you have monetized your blog with more than one
advertising network and all have this advertisements contained in the sliders,
popups and pop unders, If it is necessary for you to use then enable only one
from one ad network at least to make the blog have a professional look unlike
using all of them at once where the blog opens multiple task bars of advertisements.
This discourages readers and they cannot wish to return to your blog once they
experience such.
3)
COPY PASTING OTHER BLOG CONTENT.
There is
another category of ‘naughty’ bloggers (Sorry to say) who open up blogs and
copy paste articles from other blogs without any due authority to do so or
without giving credits. Copying content from other blogs and pasting to yours
is a very easy task compared to sitting down and composing your own original
content. Well all you should know is nothing comes easy as copying other people’s
blog posts does not give your blog any fame. Many blogs globally have their
articles protected by copy scope and when a blogger copies such content, search
engines do not rank such blogs. Be
original.
4)
BLOGGING WITHOUT A PARTICULAR GOAL.
If you ask
some bloggers what mainly drove them to their blogging career not many will
have the write answer for you. Before you start something you should have a
desired interest and the self drive to do it and not just doing it but
PERFECTING in it.
Some
bloggers intention in blogging is to make quick cash online but not to offer
any professionalism to their readers. There is no success in greed. You should
have self interest and have set goals on what you wish to achieve at the long-term
future.
5)
USING EXTRAORDINARY ENGLISH.
If you are
run a blog you should consider that the blog is being read world wide and the
tone of your articles should not be too difficult for your readers to
understand. The grammar should be normal
and should easily interpreted in a layman’s language for so that any one can
easily understand your content.
I say this
because I happen to stumble upon some blogs with high profile grammar that not
everyone can understand what the writer is really talking about.
