How to make money online with Jumia in Kenya

I have previously mentioned that Affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to make a money online.  There are many affiliate programs on the internet that help many affiliates to earn revenue online through advertising affiliate links on social pages and on websites/blog ad spaces.
In this article I will dwell on a specific affiliate program and in a specific country.
HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE WITH JUMIA AFFILIATE PROGRAM
Jumia is an online shopping website that was launched in Kenya back in 2013. It’s one of the biggest online shopping websites in Kenya as it offers quite a variety of products. Jumia is also customer friendly as they offer free delivery services to its customers anywhere across Kenya.
Their products include clothes, shoes, books, computers, mobile phones, electronics, utensils and many other home type of equipment you could think of.
If you have a good online experience, then be assured that Jumia needs someone like you who will help them expose their products to potential customers. Bloggers can also make money on jumia by making use of their ad spaces with Jumia ads.
The best thing about Jumia is that it gives you 100% security of your cash as many people fear making payment then later come to realize it was a scam and the money is gone. With Jumia you can choose to make payment during delivery.
After you have signed up for the Jumia affiliate program, you can choose to promote your Jumia link with your website, blog, facebook page or group, twitter page or any other social platform you can think of.
The best method I would recommend affiliates is to have blogs or websites where they will use to place the affiliate ads on the ad spaces.
How does jumia affiliate program work?
When you start promoting your Jumia affiliate link on any of your online platform and your visitors click on it and a sale is registered after the visitor clicked on your link, so you are entitled to a certain percentage of commission depending on the price of the product sold.  Jumia affiliate program is one of the few online affiliate programs who make payment directly to Kenyans using their local currency unlike other affiliate programs where you require having an US bank account or PayPal account in order to receive payments.

How much can I earn from Jumia affiliate program?
There is no fixed amount you can with Jumia affiliate program. Jumia pays its affiliates on commission basis. The commission ranges between 2% to 10% depending on the price off the product. If your affiliate link lead to a sale of a product worth KSH 20000 and its commission rate is 10%, you are entitled to receive Ksh 2000 as commission.

How long does the cookie last??
Those who know about affiliate marketing will understand best when I talk of cookies. This is a bit of data that contains information about your referrals and it helps your merchant remember that a particular referral clicked on your website last before making any purchase.
Jumia cookie length lasts for 30 days. This means if a referral clicks on your affiliate link and does not immediately purchase the product and later buys the product at a later date before 30 days are over, you are entitled to receive commission on the product.
Other affiliate programs have their cookie expiring after 24hours. And this calls for extra marketing of your affiliate links since you should have daily clicks for you to earn your commission.

CONCLUSION
