It's always
the dream of every new bloggers to start earning a descent income with their
blogs using Google Adsense. Getting
Adsense approval nowadays has become a big challenge as Google disapproves more
than 80% of the applications submitted to them. Google just requires a proof
that you are a serious blogger. You can view my previous article on HOW
TO GET GOOGLE ADSENSE APPROVAL.
If you
already have your Google Adsense account fully approved, then this article is
for you.
There are
many people who started blogging with the goal of making a passive income from
Google Adsense. Well not all are living according to their expectations with
Adsense. Some have published over 300 blog posts but yet they are not in a
position to drive some traffic to their blogs.
Remember even if you have Google Adsense up and running and your blog
does not have descent traffic, you will not earn an impressive income. Blogging
can be an easy way of making money online but you can earn little revenue worth
to pay for your internet expenses only. It requires dedication and hard work
for you to earn more than your other job you could be doing.
Some people
work on their blogs as a full time job and some manage to get a good payslip
from Google Adsense and are in a position to manage any kind of lifestyle they wish.
If others are hitting it hard why not you?
Here is what you can do to increase your income from Google Adsense.
1)
Publish more content.
Blogging is
all about publishing content and publishing it online for readers to view. You
should be dedicated to writing more and more articles and keep your blog ever
updated with new content. This will make readers to return to your blog and
read more. You really need this traffic.
Many people
write few articles and expect to earn some good money from articles bellow 100.
The secret behind blogging is traffic and you cannot receive descent traffic
with little content not unless you have a unique niche that many people do not
know about. REMEMBER the more
your blog contains a lot of content, it is ranked high by search engines and
also the more traffic it receives. So you as a blogger you should consider
working more on content.
2)
Write content that you are familiar
with
I have seen
quite a number of bloggers who start blogging without fully deciding the type
of niche to invest in on their blogs and end up lacking content to write on
after they have published at least 40 blog posts. If you are not sure of a
certain niche do not write about it. Even if you have some ideas on how to start,
you will still run out of content and later start sounding irrelevant.
This makes
your blog readers to loose confidence with the content on your blog and will
not be willing to read more from it hence you will start loosing your blog
traffic.
3)
Use more than one platform
After
getting Google Adsense approval with the first blog, many bloggers do not think
outside the box and try to think which other way they can make use of Google
Adsense. There are many other platforms you can make use of Google Adsense ads
rather than the free blogger and wordpress platforms.
You can
consider making your own videos and using YouTube monetization to serve Google
Adsense ads on them. You never know what could work well for you since your
YouTube account can also fetch you more money than your blog posts. You should
not put your eggs on one basket.
4)
Use both desktop and mobile ads
Many
bloggers do not consider the types of ads to place on their blogs. They just
put ads just for the sake of doing it since it is a requirement for them to be
there for them to make money. Well you should be aware all ad formats and types
have different revenue rates per click. A blogger should consider experimenting
the ad format that is fetching higher revenue.
When
blogging you should consider that 85% of internet users use mobile phones other
than computers. While placing Adsense ads you should use both desktop and
mobile ads. Many bloggers use desktop ads only and their blog traffic runs down
the drain since they make little income. When you use desktop ads only, there
is no income when a reader uses a mobile phone to log in your blog and vice versa.
5)
Do not limit your content in one
country.
When you
limit your blog posts to a specific country, you will be limiting your traffic
to citizens of that particular country. When publishing content you should
remember that the blog is visible globally. You should work on making your blog
be public as possible in order to bring the attention of international readers.
Remember traffic from other countries increases the revenue rates depending on
the country.

article was helpful to you. Kindly feel free to share more on your experience
with Google Adsense.
