What happens when you accidentaly click on your own Google Adsense Ads

It is against Google Adsense policies for publishers to click on their own ads. Many publishers have got their accounts banned reason being that Google Adsense tracked that they have been clicking on their own ads. Those who do it intentionally usually violate Google Adsense program policies but their accounts usually get banned after a short time and the revenue in the accounts is withheld.
Well there is quite a number of people who accidentally click on their own ads and start worrying if their accounts will be banned by Google there and then. If you are always sincere to Adsense you should know that accidents do happen. But such an accident should not occur occasionally.
Google Adsense claim to receive many email texts of publishers apologizing that they accidentally clicked on their own ads. This made Adsense to publish about this issue on their blog and this is what they had to say:
As most of you know, our program policies state that publishers are not permitted to click on their own ads for any reason. For this reason, we’ve received many emails from publishers letting us know that they’ve accidentally clicked on their own ads. If you’re one of these publishers, we truly appreciate the efforts you’ve made to monitor your account and keep it in good standing. However, we do understand that an accidental click may occur from time to time, so there’s no need to contact us each instance this occurs.”
This actually clears the tense feeling that your account will be immediately banned after accidentally clicking on your own ads. According to my mother tongue, “a mistake is considered a mistake after the same mistake has been repeated twice.”  By this I mean that once you notice you have accidentally clicked on your ad you should be extra careful for it not to occur a second or a third time as Adsense may not be lenient on you. Your account will be banned without any further warning and getting it again is not always a guarantee since Google Adsense tries their very best to safe guard their advertisers and charge them for real organic traffic.
